On a beautiful Friday evening I walked in to the buzz of preparations and the feeling of anticipation in the air. It had been a year ago that I met Knyata and Desmond and I literally felt like I was apart of their cool crew at this point. The feel
of the wedding was cheerful and fun. Bow-ties highlighted the groomsmen necks, the bridesmaids sashayed around in the
cutest canary colored shoes
and the bride and groom were the epitome of an old school Hollywood couple. As people dashed from one room to the other, things were unfolding in perfect order. As the processional music played you
could see the emotional awe begin to take over the attending guests. I watched generations of family members proudly taking their seats and watching with love in their hearts as their next in line began their union. Coordinating custom chucks, a bride in a vintage inspired gown, and a bridal party in an array of scarlet and canary could not detract from the true theme of this blissful affair: FAMILY. That’s what it boiled down to and that’s what pulled the whole thing together. Knyata and Desmond were enamored by one another. Their love was something that reflected the years of not just being surrounded by but being rooted in tradition and family. I am so honored to have been able to photograph their big day. Enjoy the pics guys and a big CONGRATS to the bride and groom on their new journey together.
